For anyone looking for term paper ideas...
...this might be of interest. It's an essay contest being run by the Darwin Correspondence Project, looking for the best student essay on science and religion that uses material from Darwin's letters (which the Project makes available online). Essays that engage closely with Darwin's correspondence and connect with 19th century debates about science and religion are encouraged. First prize is 1000 pounds sterling, which is currently about $1800 Canadian. That would buy you, um, $1800 worth of something.

Cool! I already wanted to write about Darwin and religion, so this may help me get some ideas (easy access to his correspondences) but it will also be cool if I can 're-use' my term paper and submit it to the contest!
